Clover Island Boat Launch Reopens to the Public
Kennewick, Wash – The Clover Island Boat Launch was reopened today after Port of Kennewick received clearance from Department of Ecology. On January 13, 2023, the Port was notified by Ecology that there was no longer any danger from submerged materials, and boaters could once again utilize the public launch.
The Clover Island boat launch is owned by the Port of Kennewick and located on Clover Island in east Kennewick. The launch was closed on December 7, 2022, at the direction of the Department of Ecology, which has been overseeing clean-up and removal of debris following an early morning fire involving Clover Island Yacht Club boat houses.
