16 Jul Clover Island Boat Launch Will Close for Repair and Improvements July 28 – December 2015.
Kennewick, Wash. – Starting Tuesday, July 28, 2015 (after Tri-City Water Follies) the public boat ramp at Clover Island will close so Port of Kennewick can begin making improvements which include a new public restroom, paved parking, landscaping and public artwork, followed by in-water ramp replacement work. The boat launch site will remain closed until the project is complete—likely by mid-December 2015. Port of Kennewick is making the improvements to enhance the public’s water access and boating experience; and we appreciate patience with the construction process.
When: Tuesday, July 28, 2015
What: Clover Island Public Boat Launch WILL CLOSE FOR REPAIRS.
Where: Clover Island, Kennewick Washington
Why: Boat Launch improvements including new public restroom, paved areas or vehicle + boat trailer parking, landscaping, and ramp repair.
Alternatives: Several years ago, the Port of Kennewick helped fund the City of Kennewick’s nearby Columbia Park East Boat Launch. That launch is located just 1.5 miles west of Clover Island.
