The Port of Kennewickâs mission is to provide and support sound economic growth opportunities that create jobs and/or improve the quality of life of the port district citizens. The Port may:- Acquire, sell, lease and develop real estate.
- Provide multi-modal transportation infrastructure such as roads, rail, airport, and navigation improvements.
- Foster the development of tourism and public recreational facilities.
- Partner with other private and public interests to enhance economic development potential as deemed appropriate by the Commissioners.

Clover Island
Located in the heart of the Mid-Columbia river region, Clover Island offers opportunities for mixed use development with resplendent river vistas, recreational pathways, riparian wildlife viewing, and easy access to historic downtown Kennewick. A conceptual plan has been presented for a future mixed-use development for the southwestern area of the island between the port of Kennewick offices and the Clover Island Yacht Club. The conceptual plan calls for reshaping the pedestrian sidewalks to eliminate the current 'arrow straight' sightline down the middle of the island, and to create inviting spaces and outdoor courtyards amid mixed-use retail and commerical buildings.

Located adjacent to the Columbia River and Duffy's Pond in the City of Kennewick's historic downtown.
